I know out there in the world, a lot of books become movies. Some times the book stays completely true to the story, some times not so much. The reason I am bringing this up is because I am currently reading the book The Planet of the Apes, which the 1968 Charlton Heston movie is based on. So far I will say this, it is a very interesting story. Much better than I thought it would be 10 chapters in.As I mentioned before, some movies may or may not stay true to the book. To me this is one of the books that does. I know some movie fans like myself will say I am crazy for saying this, but I can see where parts of the Mark Whalberg version came from.
Of course there will be some parts of the book that will not make it into the movie, but that's OK. I guess that makes both the book and the movie interesting in many different ways. I am not going to say what they are, because I really can't put it into words.
So If you can, go out and read the book!!
